Consistency
By Emma Childress Constant rush sets the mood The powered wind moves you Frustration arises when it interferes Pressured to do what you are told Constant flashes set the tone An abundance of all colors The only thing in sight Waiting for the eyes to settle Constant noise sets the spirit The industrial motions Seek people to displease No silence is known It’s just enough to make you go crazy Only to remember what's keeping you sane |
My Best Friend
By Hayden Davis My best friend keeps a smile on my face. My best friend is my happy place. Her laughter is contagious. She can overcome anything; she is courageous. You are my best friend. I want you in my life until the end. I can’t believe what God has done. Thanks for being my best friend; you’re the best one. |

Senior Emma Childress: Q: What are your hopes for the future? A: My hopes for the future are that as an upcoming generation, we can make the world a better place and strive to make it a better place and not just acknowledge that bad things are happening but that we can actually make a change. I hope that I can make a positive impact on the world for the future. |

My Trip
By Andrea Silva Resting on a bench, With a clear state of mind, With a fair glimpse of Yoyogi Park, Just ahead of the Hamarikyu Gardens, I sit here appreciating what I’m surrounded by. I move from the bench and head towards Mount Takao. I like taking my daily walks there. Because I can see the Tokyo Skytree from the mountaintop; It’s a beautiful sight. The city of Tokyo looks like it could fit in the palm of my hand. This trip was worth it, Especially with a clear state of mind. Because you notice everything And everyone around you And it’s all gorgeous This trip was gorgeous. |
