Over the last three days the rain was unstoppable.
The stars soaked my eyelashes. They watered your garden, Satisfying the thirsty plans. Something was quenched in the pit of my soul. A small seed, unearthed and watered. Stretching out, I lay back in the sun to offer my seed a ray of sunlight. My seed gulps up the nourishment and swells. *** The rain clears, and the sky parts on the fourth day. The ground heaves beneath my toes. Gravity pulls up on me and slips away. Frozen in the air, of all the magnitude of possibilities… *** A week rolls by, and I glorify what happened. I care for my seed and remember that I’m not the only one. |
Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!
I'm a sea turtle. Listen to what I say! You can’t throw your plastic junk in the sea! It will float around and strangle me. When I get free, I’ll gather it up. You’ll wish you would’ve recycled your Starbucks cup. Because if you defy me, I’ll create an army. We’ll bring you Hell, and eat all of your Taco Bell. This is just a kind reminder, so I’m telling you, you wouldn’t want someone junking up your habitat, too. |
